Perform a software

Regular software updates ensure that your SoundLink Wireless Mobile speaker remains compatible with mobile devices that are released after the date of manufacture of your loudspeaker.

To install a Bose system update, proceed as follows:

Please note: This update requires a USB cable (USB-A to USB-Micro-B).

  1. Make sure your computer has a stable Internet connection.
  2. Click here to download and run the update application.
  3. Depending on the computer you are using, select either “Download for Windows” or “Download for Mac”.

Description

For Windows PC

Download the application and proceed as follows:

1. In the File Download window, click Run or Save.

  • When you click “Run,” follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.
  • When you click Save, select a directory for saving the file (Bose_BLUETOOTH_Speaker_Update.exe). Then open the directory and start the application.

2. Select a language from the drop-down menu.

3. Read and accept the “End User License Agreement”.

4. Verify that administrator privileges are available to your computer.

5. If necessary, install the required drivers by clicking on “Install drivers”.

 

6. When the driver installation is complete, as indicated by the green checkmark, click “Next” to continue.

7. Connect the power supply to a live power outlet and turn on the SoundLink® speaker. Then connect the speaker to the computer using a USB cable (USB-A to USB-Micro-B).

8. Prepare the speaker for the update. After the connection is established, click “Next” to continue.

9. The current or network connection of the SoundLink® loudspeaker must not be disconnected during the update..

The SoundLink® loudspeaker can be turned off as soon as the update has been completed..

 

For Mac

 

Download the application and proceed as follows:
